David E. Cardinal

David E. Cardinal was known by family and friends for his love of plaid work shirts and dedication to his woodworking projects in his shop. He died on Monday, September 10, 2018 after a brief illness. He was born October 20, 1930 to Leonard and Helen Cardinal in Fond du Lac, WI. Dave married the love of his life (and forever dance partner), Beatrice “Bea” Naparala on September 5, 1953. He worked as a union journeyman electrician at Petrie Electric and W.J. Leasa Electric, and recently earned his 65-year member pin. He was also a dedicated grandfather, attending countless dance recitals and ball games.



He is survived by two sons, James (Lori) Cardinal of Fond du Lac and Thomas (Lynne) Cardinal of Germantown; seven grandchildren, Melissa Cardinal, Matthew Cardinal, and Eric Cardinal, Allison (Thomas) Mueller, Benjamin Cardinal, Kathryn (Rusty) Hoppe, Abigail Cardinal; two great grandsons, Alfred and Roger Mueller; two brothers, Richard (Nancy) Cardinal and John (Bonnie) Cardinal all of Fond du Lac; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Bea and son, Michael.



The visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Monday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 17, 2018 at Sacred Heart Church, Holy Family Parish. Entombment will follow in Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.
