David E. Jurgensmier

David E. Jurgensmier, 71, of Fond du Lac, passed away Monday, July 8, 2013 at All About Life Rehabilitation Center following a lengthy illness. He was born November 24, 1941 in Fond du Lac, the son of Leander and Evelyn Emerich Jurgensmier. On September 25, 1965 he married Marsha L. Dunn at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Fond du Lac. Dave was a dedicated traffic officer with Fond du Lac County for 25 years, retiring in 1992. He was a longtime member of the Wisconsin Quarter Horse Association, Ducks Unlimited and the Eden Gun Club. His greatest love was watching his daughters show their horses. Dave and his family traveled every weekend to horse shows throughout Wisconsin and other states. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching the Brewers and Packers and trapshooting with his friends.Dave is survived by his wife, Marsha; two daughters, Tammy (Jeff) Kottke, Slinger and Amiee Thompson, Fond du Lac; two foster children, Frank (Carrie) Lueck, Eden and Julie Roloff, Fond du Lac. He was preceded in death by his parents.



The visitation will be held Thursday, July 11, 2013 from 4:00 "“ 7:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Deacon Paul Monzel officiating. Cremation has taken place.
