David J. Christie

David J. Christie, 58, of Rosendale, died Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at his residence. He was born the son of Gordon and Rosemary Hanke Christie on April 30, 1949 in Fond du Lac. Dave graduated from Goodrich High School, Class of 1967. He received his Associate Degree from Moraine Park. On October 3, 2004 he married Claudia Pauly Beaster in Rosendale. Dave was the Director of Engineering at Merc Racing until his retirement in 2005. He was an outdoorsman and a life member of the NRA. He was a past volunteer fireman and worked for the Rosendale Police Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, his dogs, NASCAR racing and was an avid Packer Fan.SURVIVORS: his wife, Claudia, Rosendale; two sons, Todd (Dyane) Christie, Oshkosh and Troy (special friend Angie Lerch) Christie, Oshkosh; two step-children, Angie (Shawn) Abler, Fond du Lac and Lt. Tony (Lynette) Beaster, Minneapolis, MN; two grandchildren, Lauren and Braden Christie; his mother, Rosemary Christie, Fond du Lac; one brother, Tom (Kathy) Christie, Oakfield; two sisters, Jackie (Bill) Lemke, CO and Kay (Fran) Buechel, St. Peter; three sisters-in-law, Regina Christie, Appleton, Mary Christie, Fond du Lac and Cathy (Jim) Borth, Fond du Lac; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and three brothers, Dick, Ken and Bill



VISITATION: will be held from 12 noon "“ 4 PM on Saturday, August 18, 2007 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 4 PM on Saturday at the funeral home with Deacon Larry Hughes officiating. Cremation has taken place.In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated in Dave's name.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
