David J. Wilde

David J. Wilde, 55, was born in Fond du Lac on July 17, 1959 and passed away at his home near New London, WI on Friday, October 31, 2014 due to an apparent heart attack. David was the third of four sons born to the family of Donald and Elaine Wilde and he lived in North Fond du Lac for the first eight years of his life. The family then moved to Fond du Lac where David attended school at Evans Elementary, Sabish Junior High and Goodrich High School.



David was baptized and confirmed at Community United Methodist Church in North Fond du Lac. After graduating from high school David attended the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point where he received his B.S. Degree. He then attended the University of Wisconsin, LaCrosse and received his Masters Degree. He then worked as a school psychologist in Iowa, Minnesota, and New Hampshire before returning to Wisconsin. Due to ill health he retired early.



In his early life David was a champion Archer and won many meets and was also an avid photographer. David enjoyed fishing, especially for muskie and deer and pheasant hunting. He spent many hours gardening and planting trees on his properties. He also was fond of collecting sporting equipment and mechanical things.



David was preceded in death by one brother, Kurt in March of 2014. He is survived by his parents, Donald and Elaine Wilde of Fond du Lac; two brothers, William (Sue) Wilde and their son, William Jr. all of Bishop, CA and Scott Wilde of Conover, WI and his children Douglas (Bana) of Whitewater, WI and Jake and Ellen of Florida; two aunts and several cousins.



Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service will be held later this month at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Rev. Sukhyun Jung of Community United Methodist Church, North Fond du Lac will officiate. Memorials in David’s name can be directed to Community United Methodist Church.
