David L. Duket

David L. Duket, 78, of Oshkosh, died Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born February 25, 1937 in Fond du Lac, the son of Ferdinand and Emma Peters Duket. On March 2, 1957 he married the love of his life, Janice M. Trott at Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac. David served in the US Navy as an Interior Communication Electrician 1st Class from 1955 – 1959. He was stationed on the USS Randolph CVA 15 and served in the reserves until 1963. David worked for the Soo Line Railroad for 29 years and then worked two years in real estate with Wauwatosa Realty before officially retiring. He enjoyed family camping trips, deer hunting, home repairs, woodworking, telling jokes, attending Navy reunions, traveling, spending winters in Lake Havasu City, AZ, and loved spending time with his family.



He is survived by his wife, Janice of Oshkosh; three children, Darren (Shera) Duket of Hudson, Lynn (Brian) Koll of Lomira, and Julie (Allan) Zuleger of Oshkosh; seven grandchildren, Kayla (John) Martin, Kelli Duket, Nicole (Mike) Gierach, Ashley Koll, Bradley Koll, Morgan Zuleger, and Heather Zuleger; two great grandchildren, Braeden and Piersen Gierach; one sister, Patricia (Henry) Goldapske of North Fond du Lac; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Helen (George) Scherck, Dorothy (Robert) Koehn, Alice (Willard) McDermott; and a nephew, Brian Koehn.



The visitation will be held Monday, September 14, 2015 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N Park Avenue, Fond du Lac and again on Tuesday from 10:00 – 11:00 am at the church.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 2580W 9th Avenue, Oshkosh with Rev. Timothy Routh officiating. Burial will take place in Estabrooks Cemetery in Fond du Lac.
