David R. Wolf

David R. Wolf, 57, of North Fond du Lac is flying high with the angels; he crossed over Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at his residence. He was born January 30, 1959 in Fond du Lac, the son of Rolland and Beverly Becker Wolf. Dave graduated from Goodrich High School in 1977. On July 10, 1982 he married his soul mate, Kathryn A. Gurath at Church of Peace. In 1984 Dave and Kathy had their marriage blessed at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. He worked for Giddings & Lewis and was currently a powerhouse operator at Taycheedah Correctional Institution. Dave was a member of the American Bowling Congress. He loved spending time with his brother, Dan and uncle, Edgar fishing, hunting, and bowling. Dave enjoyed working on automobiles; he restored three 1969 Camaros and has taught his nephew Colin all he knows. He was a wonderful mentor to Colin. He loved to travel with his wife and many times flew by the seat of his pants exploring new places. Dave also golfed; a sport his wife taught him and thought she could kick his butt in, but did not happen.



He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy; two brothers, twin brother, Dan (Patty) Wolf of Waupun and Dale Wolf of Fond du Lac; one uncle, Edgar Wolf of Fond du Lac; one aunt, Evelyn Stevens of Fond du Lac; father and mother-in-law, Daniel and Shirley Gurath of Fond du Lac; three sisters-in-law, Laura (Michael) Detert of Fond du Lac, Alison (William) Woodfill of Bowling Brook, IL, and Jean Mackie of Culver City, CA. He is further survived by nieces and nephews, Colin Reinehr, Ryann Woodfill, Morgan Woodfill, Kevin (Ashley) Wolf, Thomas Wolf, and Jaime Nelson; his dog, Sage; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.



The visitation will be held from 3:00 – 7:00 pm on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Deacon Dale Paczkowski officiating. Cremation has taken place.



Kathy extends a special thank you to neighbors, Wayne and Chris Blonigen; Chris for performing CPR and Wayne for staying to comfort me. For all you both did I will be forever thankful and grateful.
