Dean K. Bennin

Dean K. Bennin, 68, of Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at his home.  He was born January 5, 1956 in Kiel, the son of Clarence and Mary (Langenhahn) Bennin. Dean graduated from Kiel High School in 1974 and then attended Acme Institute of Technology where he earned a certificate in Tool & Die.  He worked for Tobin Tool & Die for many years and Mercury Marine, retiring in 2022.  He had a funny sense of humor and liked to tease with people.  He enjoyed working on electronics and rebuilding engines, including his grandpa’s 1939 Chevy. 

He is survived by his daughter, Juliana (Ronald Nair) Bennin-Nair; one grandson, Rhys; three granddaughters, Noelle (Jordan) Lynde, Rowan Nair, and Wren Nair; two great grandchildren, Hudson and Claire; three siblings, Karen Timreck, Kevin Bennin, and Wayne (Jan) Bennin; sister-in-law, Susan Bennin; his former wife, Barbara Bennin; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.  He was preceded in death by his parents; four siblings, Mercedes (Martin) Smaxwell, Dale (Helen) Bennin, Keith Bennin, and Lee Bennin; brother-in-law, Joseph Timreck; and sister-in-law, Debra Bennin. 

The visitation will be held Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Oakfield Community Church, 220 South Main Street in Oakfield.  The funeral service will follow on Saturday at 12:00 PM at church.  Cremation will follow the services.
