Delmer A. Konen, 92 formerly of 179 South Park Avenue and a resident of Fond du Lac Lutheran Home died Thursday, March 24, 2011 at the nursing home. He was born in Fond du Lac on June 13,1918 the son of Christian and Della Ziegelbauer Konen. Delmer with his brother Eugene worked with their father who owned the Mobile Station on the corner of Rees and Main Street. He was a life-long member of Holy Family Parish-St. Mary's Church and the Knights of Columbus Council #.664. He had a passion for gardening, flowers and enjoyed watching sports on television.SURVIVORS: three sisters; Irma Bredlau, Jean Tautges and Bernita Rockweit all of Fond du Lac, one brother,Eugene (Connie) Konen, Fond du Lac, and nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, a sister Hazel and one brother Ervin.
VISITATION: Friends may call on Sunday, March 27, 2011 from 5 to 7 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home.FUNERAL: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 28, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Parish -St. Mary's Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. There will be no visitation prior to the services.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
