Delores E. Emmer

Delores E. Emmer, 86, died Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the St. Francis Home in Fond du Lac. She was born in Fond du Lac on December 9, 1927, the daughter of Felix and Ida (Eaton) Resop. On September 11, 1948, she married Darwin Emmer at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Waupun. Delores will be remembered as loving and caring for her family above all else. She loved to work with her hands, making Afghans and other crafts. She was a long time member of the Church of Peace in Fond du Lac, as well as active in the Martha Society and the church choir. Delores was very active in all aspects of her life until as recent as 2012. Delores is survived by her three children; James (Ruth) Emmer of St. Cloud, Dale (Barb) Emmer of Malone and Sue (Mark) Ditter of Fond du Lac, a daughter-in-law, Sheila Emmer of Fond du Lac, nine grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren. She is further survived by a sister, Virginia Bird of Manitowish Waters, a brother, Clayton (Joyce) Resop of Alabama, two sisters-in-law; Bernice Resop of Fond du Lac and Jean Resop of Milwaukee and many nieces and nephews. Delores also leaves behind a very close cousin, Marcella Groesbeck of Fond du Lac. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son Gary, her sister Adrian Grinde, and four brothers; Robert, Norman, Felix, Jr., and Gordon.



A visitation for Delores will be held Friday, March 28, 2014 from 4:00 P.M. "“ 8:00 P.M. at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Avenue in Fond du Lac and again on Saturday March 29, 2014 from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at the funeral home with the funeral to follow at 10:00 am with Rev. Jennifer C.M. Dawson officiating.
