Delton I. "Tuffy/Chief" Seresse, 77, of W4221 David Drive, Town of Empire, died Tuesday, May 10, 2005, at St. Agnes Hospital, after a brief battle with cancer. He was born May 9, 1928, in Fond du Lac, a son of Irving and Ceil Welch Seresse. On September 4, 1970, he married Shirley Rosenthal in Fond du Lac at Covenant United Methodist Church, where he has been a member for the past 20 years. He was a member of Eagles Aerie #270 since 1956 and the Brothertown Indian Association. He loved golfing and was an avid bird watcher, and enjoyed traveling throughout Wisconsin with his wife. Mr. Seresse was formerly employed by Mercury Marine for 26 years as a painter, retiring in 1990. Prior to this, he was employed by Quic-Frez for several years. Surviving is his wife, Shirley, a brother, Darold (Special Friend Norma Jean Wondra) of Fond du Lac, two brothers-in-law, Clayton (Donna) Rosenthal of Fond du Lac, and Donald (Connie) Rosenthal of Kissimmee, FL, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. His parents and a sister-in-law, Marion Seresse preceded him in death.
Visitation for Mr. Delton I. "Tuffy/Chief" Seresse will be on Thursday, May 12, 2005, from 4 to 8pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, and on Friday, May 13, 2005, from 9:30 to 10:30 am at Covenant United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be on Friday, May 13, 2005, at 10:30 am at the church. The Rev. Charles Davis will officiate and burial will be in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.Delton was a very strong-willed, caring, and loving husband, whowill be greatly missed by all of his family and many friends, including a special friend, Windy Wendt.A special thank you to the Rev.
