Dennis A. Glaeser, 62, of 460 E. Bank Street, died Thursday, June 3, 2004, at Columbia St. Mary's Ozaukee Hospital. He was born November 29, 1941, in Manitowoc, a son of Edgar and Bernice Staudinger Glaeser. On August 17, 1960, he married Barbara A. Carroll at St. Mary's Church in Oregon, IL. He attended Manitowoc County Teachers College, and received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Mr. Glaeser later received his Masters of Administration degree from Northern Michigan University at Marquette, Michigan. Dennis was a member of Holy Family Parish. He was principal of the Oakfield Middle School for 17 years, and served for a total of 28 years in the district. Later, Dennis started the assessment center for CESA 5 and 6. He was currently the president of the Fond du Lac School Board, and a RITE mentor for teachers of the State of Wisconsin. Mr. Glaeser was a member of Elks Lodge #57, and was a past member of the Oakfield Lions Club. He retired as Director of Curriculum and Instruction from CESA 6.Surviving is his wife, Barbara, a daughter, Michele Glaeser of Stevens Point, a son, Michael (Jaime) Glaeser of Oshkosh, a sister, Kathi Glaeser of Manitowoc, and a brother, Ronald (Judy) Glaeser of Sheboygan. His parents and sister, Judy Christiansen, preceded him in death.
Visitation for Mr. Dennis A. Glaeser will be on Monday, June 7, 2004, from 4 to 8 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, June 8, 2004, at 9:30 am at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, and Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. Joseph's Church. The Rev. John Radetski of Holy Family parish will officiate and burial will be at St. Charles Cemetery, Town of Taycheedah.
