Dennis D. Gahagan, 67, of 92 Berger Parkway, Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center, Milwaukee. He was born March 9, 1943 in Plymouth, the son of Henry and Clariss "June" Phelps Gahagan. He was a graduate of Elkhart Lake High School Class of 1961. Dennis served in the U.S. National Guard, U.S. Army and U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Dennis was a member of Trier-Puddy American Legion Post No. 75 in Fond du Lac. He worked at various companies as a welder and fabricator in Sheboygan County and was employed with Damrow Company for over 25 years. He enjoyed cribbage, fishing, gambling, and St. Patrick's Day.SURVIVORS: one son, Corey P. Gahagan, North Fond du Lac; two brothers, Robert Gahagan and Terry Gahagan, both of Fond du Lac; one sister, Gail (Scott) Nelson, Kiel; numerous nieces and nephews. He is further survived by a special sister-in-law, Gail Popelka, Green Bay; his cribbage partner, Jerry Arthur, Fond du Lac; special friend, Judy King, Fond du Lac. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Linda and Kathleen; one brother, Brian.



VISITATION: Family will receive friends from 12 "“ 4 PM on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. No funeral services will take place. At 4 PM on Saturday the Trier Puddy American Legion Post #75 will conduct military services. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment will take place in Greenbush Cemetery, Sheboygan, County.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Additional information and guest book may be found at www.ueckerwitt.com.
