Diane M. Blaine

Diane M. Blaine, 54, of Fond du Lac, a six-year survivor of breast cancer, died Saturday, September 4, 2010 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 11, 1956 in Portage, WI, the daughter of Francis C. and Patricia A. Roecker Pratt. Diane was a 1974 graduate of L. P. Goodrich High School. On October 8, 1977 she married Michael J. Blaine at Church of Peace, Fond du Lac. Diane was an active member of Church of Peace. She worked for the Fond du Lac School District for the past 20 years as an instructional assistant. She was a past board member of the Quarterback Club from 1996 "“ 2002. Diane enjoyed reading novels, riding and showing horses, vacationing in warm places and spending time with her dear friend, Ann. She especially looked forward to her annual vacation to Florida with her "Ya Ya sisters". She loved watching her boys play football, getting together with her family and spending every minute with her grandchildren.SURVIVORS: her husband, Michael; three sons, Ryan (Heidi) Blaine, Fond du Lac, Aaron Blaine, Las Vegas, NV, Kyle Blaine, Fond du Lac; three grandchildren, Jackson, McKayla and Grayson Blaine. She is further survived by her mother, Patricia Pratt, Fond du Lac; one sister, Deb (Dean) Kaiser, Fond du Lac; one brother, David (Linda) Pratt, Mount Calvary; her mother-in-law, Donna Blaine, Eden; her beloved dog, Bailey; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Francis and her father-in-law, William.



VISITATION: will be from 4 "“ 8 PM on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Thursday from 10 "“ 11 AM at church. The funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at Church of Peace with Revs. Jennifer C. M. Dawson and James F. D. Martin officiating. Burial will take place in Empire Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Central Wisconsin Cancer Center in Diane's name.The family would like to extend a thank you to the doctors and nurses of the Central Wisconsin Cancer Center and Agnesian Hospice and everyone who cared for Diane and to all the family, friends, and neighbors for the meals, cards and prayers.
