Dietrich K. “Dieter” Locht, age 81, of Fond du Lac, died Monday, May 23, 2016 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born on April 5, 1935 in Langenau, West Prussia, the son of Erdmond and Anna (Hoffman) Locht. Dietrich came to the United States in 1949 and lived on a farm in Lomira. He served in the United States Army Reserves. In October of 1957 he married Agnes M. Henning in Tomah. He worked as an accountant for forty-eight years retiring in 2005, most recently for Wallschlaeger and Associates. He was a member at St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church where he also ushered and he served as treasurer for many years on the Estabrooks Cemetery Board. Dietrich enjoyed golfing, bowling, and traveling the United States.
SURVIVORS: his wife Agnes; two daughters, Debra (Tony) Pickart of Fond du Lac, Sandra (Jim) Adelman of Franklin; four grandchildren, Joshua (Connie) Pickart of Milwaukee, Angela (Michael) Krause of Germantown, Zachariah (Katrina) Pickart of Madison, and Jacob Adelman of Madison; two great-granddaughters, Rosalee and Lillian Krause; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by parents; his grandparents, Emil and Augusta Hoffman.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 4-7 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. Funeral service will take place on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 1600 S. Main St, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. Visitation will be held on Friday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will take place at Estabrooks Cemetery. Trier-Puddy American Legion Post #75 will conduct military graveside honors.
