Dolores "Lorsey" E. (Lietz) Hanson, 88, formerly of 314 Grove Street, and a current resident of Grancare Nursing Home, died Friday, August 16, 2013. She was born April 5, 1925 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Steven R. and Hattie W. Ziebell Lietz. On November 5, 1947 she married John W. Hanson at Church of Peace and he preceded her in death on April 19, 1990. Dolores was a lifelong member of Church of Peace. She enjoyed crochetting and knitting, making sweaters for her grandchildren, camping, singing, music and her cats.She is survived by seven children, Gary (Joann) Hanson, Rib Lake, Johnette (Harvey) Bickelhaupt, Neshkoro, Lawrence (Hollie) Hanson, Fond du Lac, Wanda (Jim) Algeo, Fond du Lac, Luanne Broeske, Rib Lake, Shelly (Dave) Galle, Oshkosh, Holly (Barb Carey) Hanson, Oxford; 24 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren; two brothers, Ronald (Patricia) Lietz, Fond du Lac and Donald (Sharon) Lietz, Florida; one sister-in-law, Louella Wiese, Fond du Lac; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; one infant daughter, Rhonda Hanson; one granddaughter, Jami Lyn LeClair; one sister, Betty Abraham; one brother, Robert Lietz; and her dear friend, Mildred "Mickey" Bortner.
The visitation will be held from 4:00 PM "“ 8:00 PM on Monday, August 19, 2013 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again from from 10:00 AM "“ 11:00 AM on Tuesday at the church. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at Church of Peace with Revs. Jennifer C. M. Dawson and James F. D. Martin officiating.
