Dolores G. Chmielewski, 91, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014 at Woodlands Senior Park in Fond du Lac. She was born in Fond du Lac on December 20, 1922, the daughter of Walter and Eleanora (Guelig) Krug. On May 21, 1982, Dolores married George Chmielewski in Milwaukee.
She will be remembered by her family for being a good mom and a good cook. Dolores enjoyed traveling to local towns on Sundays to play cards with her friends. She was a member of St. Louis Church, Sacred Heart and more recently, Holy Family Catholic Parish.
SURVIVORS
She is survived by her two sons; Terry (Karen) Spannbauer of Lomira and Mark (Joyce) Spannbauer of Malone, eight grandchildren; Julie (Peter) Schalk, Thomas (Stacy) Schmitz, Kevin Schmitz, Jamie (Emily) Spannbauer, Jason (Jill Johnson) Spannbauer, Tara (Shane) Ilgen, Tera (Joe) Forster, and Amanda (Chris Salazar) Donnelly, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, one sister, Rosemary O’Hearn and one brother, Daniel (Ann) Krug. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her son John Block and her daughter Judy Schmitz.
FUNERAL INFORMATION
A visitation for Dolores will be held from 9:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M., Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Holy Family Church, 271 4th St. Way in Fond du Lac. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. at the church. Following the mass, burial will take place in St. Charles Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Agnesian Hospice Hope and the staff of Woodlands Senior Park for their care of Dolores.
