Dolores (Frye) Hessler, 77, of Van Dyne, passed away from complications of ALS, May 11, 2013, surrounded by family. Dolores was born in Lena, WI October 21, 1935. She and her loving husband, Ronald, were married December 17, 1955 in Oconto Falls. Dolores (with an "o") worked as a hairdresser at Hill's Beauty Salon in Fond du Lac for many years, and seasonally at Miles Kimball in Oshkosh. She was active in ARC of Fond du Lac with her beloved son, Ronald Jr. She loved to travel with Ron and Ron Jr. to the Southwest for their yearly spring trek to Las Cruces, NM. They previously lived in Albuquerque, NM and Las Vegas, NV. She was devoted to her family, attending as many recitals, games, and other children's and grandchildren's events as possible. She was an avid cross word puzzle and Brewer's fan. She was opinionated, loved deeply, and worked hard to accept everyone as they were. She always looked on the bright side of everything. She was devoted to her family and was deeply proud of her children and grandchildren.She is survived by husband Ron; daughter, Beth (Phil) Stuart of Tomah; son, Dean (Meghan) Hessler of Prairie du Sac; grandchildren, Eric (Jaclyn) Stuart, Molly Stuart, Emily (Cary House) Stuart, Devin (Liz Power) Hessler, Morgan Hessler; and great-granddaughter (due in August). She is also survived by her siblings, Ernest (Karen) Frye Jr, Audrey (Roger) Carriveau, and James (Carol) Frye; her aunts, Dottie (George) Frye and Anne (Luke) Frye and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by her son, Ron Jr. on April 12, 2012, and her parents Ernest and Mayme (Kafka) Frye of Lena, Wi.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013 from 9:30 "“ 11:00 AM at St. John's Lutheran Church of Nekimi. The memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at St. John's Lutheran Church of Nekimi, 491 Old Oregon Road Oshkosh. Cremation has taken place and inurnment will take place at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.A special thanks to the staff and volunteers at Agnesian Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac for their loving kindness to Dolores, Ron, and all who pass through their doors.Family suggests memorials be made to St. John's Lutheran Church of Nekimi or the ALS Association, Wisconsin Chapter, 3333 N.
