Donald C. Wendel

Donald C. Wendel, 74, of Artesian Beach Road, Malone, died Saturday, December 15, 2007 at his residence. He was born the son of Claude N. and Frances B. Groeschel Wendel on August 7, 1933 in Fond du Lac. He graduated from Fond du Lac High School in 1951. Donald was a veteran of the US Marine Corp, serving during the Korean War in Korea and Guatemala. He was a charter member of the Marine Corp League in the McCullum Kimpel Chapter. He was employed by Mercury Marine for 30 years and was a member of their Quarter Century Club. Don was a lifetime member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers with forty years of service. SURVIVORS: four sons, Greg (Carol) Wendel, Dan (Donnell) Wendel, John Wendel, Jeff Wendel, all of Naples, FL; five grandchildren; two sisters, Florence Schuppe and Dolores Rozek, both of Fond du Lac; one brother, Jerry (Janice) Wendel, Fond du Lac



VISITATION: will be from 10 "“ 11 AM on Friday, December 21, 2007 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Friday at the funeral home with Deacon Larry Hughes officiating. Cremation has taken place and inurnment will take place in the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, King, WI at a later date.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
