Donald D. Miller

Donald D. Miller, 77, of Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at the Waupun Christian Home. He was born the son of Reynold and Mabelle Grosse Miller on October 12, 1930 in Fond du Lac. Donald served in the US Army from 1950-1954 during the Korean War. He worked for Vulcan Manufacturing as a welder, which later became L&G Steel, Fond du Lac. Donald was president of the Iron Workers Union for over 20 years. He was a member of Eagles Aerie #270, and the Oakfield VFW Post #8092. He enjoyed reading about war history and agriculture and loved spending time with his grandchildren.SURVIVORS: five children, Kristie (Dick) Miller-Kok, Waupun, Donald (Ann) Miller, IN, Susan (Patrick) O'Brien, Oakfield, Tina Miller, AZ, Shelley (Brett) Schultz, Princeton, KY; eleven grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two children, and three brothers.



VISITATION: will be from 9 "“ 11 AM on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Wick Hubers officiating. Burial will follow in Wedges Prairie Cemetery, Ladoga with Oakfield VFW Post #8092 conducting military rites. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
