Donald E. Gudmundson, age 76, formerly of Lakeshore Dr, Fond du Lac, and a resident of Keshena, WI, died Tuesday, October 19, 2004 at Middleton, WI. He was born on September 19, 1928 in Chicago, IL the son of Harry and Caroline Shaus Gudmundson. On June 11, 1950 he married Helen B. Koch in Lincoln, NE. Don attended the University of Nebraska and Iowa State University where he received a degree in Landscape Architecture. He owned and operated Gudmundson's Landscape and Nursery from 1963 to 1996. He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac, and currently a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Shawano. He was a member of the Wisconsin Landscape Contractors Association. Don enjoyed fishing, downhill skiing, sheepshead, dancing a good polka, and enjoyed activities with his children and grandchildren.SURVIVORS: his wife Helen of Keshena, four children, Gloria (Gene Musser) Gudmundson of Middleton, Donald (Funiko Fukuta) Gudmundson of Oshkosh, Tom (Judy Kosloske) Gudmundson of Sheboygan, Cheryl (Jeff) Riedel of Menasha, eleven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two brothers, Harry (Betty) Gudmundson of Ann Arbor, MI, Arvid (Maxine) Gudmundson of Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents.



VISITATION: Saturday, October 23, 2004 from 1-3 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Saturday, October 23, 2004 at 3 P.M. with the Reverend Hilbert Hilgendorf officiating. Entombment will be in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum-Ledgeview Cemetery. Memorials directed to Zion Lutheran Church in Shawano, WI. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
