Donald G. Reynolds

Donald G. Reynolds, 83, formerly of 315 E. 11th Street, and a resident of St. Francis Home for the past six months, died there on Monday, January 22, 2007. He was born May 9, 1923, in Janesville, the son of John and Florence Ching Reynolds. On October 20, 1951, he married Ida Bloedow in Dodgeville, WI. Mr. Reynolds retired from Wisconsin Power & Light, Northern Area in 1986 as a Gas Draftsman in the Engineering Department. He had been with company for 44 years. Donald was a member of the Pioneer Club and a member and loan officer of the Wisconsin Power & Light Credit Union. He enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Power & Light Golf League. During his younger years, he became an accomplished percussionist, winning medals in the district and state music contests. He taught drumming to younger students and also played in various small dance bands. Surviving is his wife, Ida, two sons, Roger (Suzette) Reynolds of Chester, VA, and Terry (Jill) Reynolds of Malone, a daughter, Nancy (Michael) Westphal of Fond du Lac, and four grandchildren, Matthew (Janel) Reynolds of New York City, NY, Angela Westphal, and twins, Joseph and Anthony Westphal, all of Fond du Lac. A niece, nephew, cousins, and other relatives and friends further survive him. His parents and a brother, Robert, preceded him in death.



Visitation for Mr. Donald G. Reynolds will be on Friday, January 26, 2007, from 4 to 7 pm and on Saturday, January 27, from 8:30 to 10:00 am at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Saturday at 10:00 am at the funeral home. A memorial has been established in Donald's name. The Rev. Jon Cox will officiate and burial will be in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.
