Donald M. “Don” Durben, 81, of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, April 24, 2016. He was born in Fond du Lac on February 20, 1935, a son of Matthew and Anna (Thome) Durben. He graduated from St. Mary’s Spring’s and then served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. On January 10, 1958 Don married Barbara Nemick.
Don and Barb enjoyed traveling to Florida over the years. He enjoyed golfing, boating, fishing and spending time in Marco Island, Fla. Don worked for Chem-Trend as an independent sales consultant, for 38 years.
He is survived by his wife, Barb; married for 58 years. Three sons, Craig and his two sons, Mitchell and Alex, Curt (Kim) and their three children, Connor, Chloe and Cooper, and Mike (Kim) and their two children, Nicole and Courtney. He was preceded in death by his parents his brother Lee Durben, his in laws, brother and sister in laws.
Visitation for Don will be held Friday, April 29, 2016 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave. in Fond du Lac and again at the funeral home on Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 10:30 AM – 11:00 AM. A Liturgy of the Word Service will begin at 11:00 AM followed by entombment in the Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery in Fond du Lac. Military Honors will be presented by the American Legion, Trier-Puddy Post #75.
