Donald J. Mielkie

Donald J. Mielkie, 86, of North Fond du Lac, died on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at his residence. He was born on October 25, 1937, the son of Gustave and Marie (Jost) Mielkie. He was one of ten children, three boys and 7 girls. On September 12, 1964, he married June Nutter in Fond du Lac. Don worked for the Fond du Lac School District in maintenance until his retirement. He went on to manage the Elms, Mobile Home Park until 2010. His favorite time was going up north to his cabin.  

 He is survived by his wife, June; two sons, Jeffrey Mielkie and his daughter Samantha, and Dale (Teresa) Mielkie and their daughter, Abigail; five sisters; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gustave and Marie; two brothers; and two sisters. 

 The visitation will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will occur at Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.
