Donald P. "Boze" Henke, 69, of 338 E. 13th Street, died Monday, February 28, 2005, at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born June 10, 1935, in Fond du Lac, a son of Paul and Viola Pollack Henke. On August 3, 1957, he married Carol M. Schmidt in Fond du Lac.Mr. Henke was a member of Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was a veteran of the US Army serving from April 20, 1955 to April 19, 1957. After service he was employed by Damrow Brothers. He later worked for Winnebago Distributing, which eventually became Lee Beverage. Don owned and operated Boze's Tap Cleaning & Juice Service until his retirement in 2000. He enjoyed bowling and was 1st Vice President of the Wisconsin Lutheran Bowling Association.Surviving is his wife, Carol, a son, Dan (Peggy) Henke of Brownsville, a daughter, Cheryl Wilcox of Simpsonville, KY, two brothers, Tom (Sydney) Henke of Oakfield, and Edward (Jackie) Henke of Fond du Lac, a sister-in-law, Bonnie Schmidt of St. Louis, MO, aunts, an uncle, cousins, including Donna Yanke of Fond du Lac, and other relatives and friends. His parents, a son-in-law, Wayne Wilcox, a brother-in-law, Wayne Schmidt, and his mother and father-in-law, Elmer and Edna Schmidt preceded him in death.
Visitation for Mr. Donald P. "Boze" Henke will be on Wednesday, March 2, 2005, from 4 to 8 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and on Thursday, March 3, 2005, from 12 noon to 1 pm at Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be at 1 pm on Thursday at the church. The Rev. Stuart Zak will officiate and burial will be in Estabrooks Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Mr. Henke's name.
