Donald R. Brown

Donald R. Brown, 85, of Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. He was born March 5, 1926 in Calumetville, the son of Henry and Roseta Shaw Brown. Donald was a veteran of the US Navy from 1944 -1946. On March 15, 1947 he married Ruth M. Lindsley. Donald worked for St. Agnes Hospital for 35 years retiring in 1988. He was a member of Bohlman-Grimes VFW Post 1904. He enjoyed camping, fishing, sewing, playing cards and bingo, and model trains.SURVIVORS: his wife, Ruth; four daughters, Virginia Brown, Sheboygan, twins, Donna Brown, Sheboygan and Diane (Scott Gratton) Wobschall, Ripon, Janice (Raymond) Woznick, Fond du Lac; fourteen grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; one great great grandson. He is further survived by four brothers, Henry (Jane) Brown, Fond du Lac, Orville Brown, TX, Freddy (Bonnie) Brown, Campbellsport, Frank Brown, IL; two sisters, Dorothy (Earl) Reitz, Fond du Lac, Lois (Victor) Jewson, Fond du Lac; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Rosemary Hebert; one grandson, Jimmy Wobschall; two granddaughters, Tammy Higgins and Marlene Higgins; one brother, Rueben Brown.



VISITATION: will be from 4 "“ 7 PM on Monday, February 20, 2012 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Tuesday from 10 "“ 11 AM at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Rev. Dean Desilet officiating.
