Donna L. Ludwig went to her heavenly home March 30, 2012 after residing at Hospice Hope in Fond du Lac for just over a year. She was born on October 21, 1945 in Chicago, the daughter of Edward W. and Lucille E. (Kramer) Benson. Donna was raised in Chicago and has been a Fond du Lac resident since 1969. In l963 she married Bernard J. Ludwig in Des Plaines, Il. He preceded her in death on August 18, 2002. Donna and Bernard were partners in two businesses, Lakeview Motel and American Yamaha. She was a former member of the Jaycees and also volunteered in the dining room at the Northgate Senior Apartments. For 12 years she was caregiver for Bernard while he was ill. Mom was loved by all who knew her for her kindness and sweet personality. Over her lifetime she enjoyed traveling, spending winters in Florida, meeting new people, music, dancing and her delight was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Watching them grow and excel gave her such pleasure. She spoke only good words for all the staff at Hospice Home of Hope who gave of themselves to make her life comfortable and full of love during her time there. We, her family, are so appreciative to all at Hospice Home who loved and cared for Mom. You were truly a blessing to Mom and went out of your way to support us. Thank you!
