Donna M. Gesell

Donna M. Gesell, 72, of 801 Western Avenue, died Saturday, October 10, 2009, at the Hospice Home of Hope. She was born September 2, 1937, in Fond du Lac County, the daughter of Richard and Velma Mauer Lefeber. On June 14, 1957, she married Robert W. Immel in Johnsburg, and he preceded her in death on October 28, 1981. She later married Robert Gessel on June 16, 1984 at Sacred Heart Church. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1992. Donna was a member of Holy Family Parish. She volunteered at St. Agnes Hospital, ACT II, the Eden Women's Auxiliary, and was a member of Ladies of the Elks and Wisconsin Stargazers Camping Club. Donna spent the last several winters in Arizona with her fiancé, Marvin Korb. Surviving are two daughters, Lori (Darin) Garbisch of Fond du Lac, and Karen (Dan) Klumpyan of Mt. Calvary, two sons, Gary (Mary) Immel and Eric Immel, all of Fond du Lac, eight grandchildren, Jennifer Millard-Schmitz, Marissa and Angelica Maney, JayBob, Sam, and Sara Immel, and Charliy and Brady Immel, all of Fond du Lac. She is further survived by a sister, Betty (Orland) Stahmann of Fond du Lac, and her fiancé', Marvin Korb, also of Fond du Lac. Her parents and both husbands preceded her in death.



Visitation for Mrs. Donna M. Gesell will be on Thursday, October 15, 2009, from 10 to 12 noon at Holy Family Church, 271 4th Street Way, Fond du Lac. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12 noon on Thursday at the church. Cremation has taken place, and inurnment of cremated remains will be in the Town of Empire Cemetery at a later date.
