Dora Totos

Dora Totos passed away Monday, April 21, 2025. She was born in Fond du Lac, WI to the late John and Irene (Kaufman) George. After graduating from high school, she started a long-term career with Wisconsin Telephone Company.

She was a life-long member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church where she married William Totos. They had two children, Ann and Samuel. Together they had many adventures each summer visiting family and exploring local attractions. During this time, she paused her outside career and served as a Girl Scout leader and taught Sunday school. After her children were grown, she resumed a career as the front desk receptionist at local car dealerships.

Dora enjoyed ballroom dancing, gardening, sewing, and visiting Madison. She traveled to numerous dance seminars and exhibitions with the group from a local dance studio.

She is survived by both children, Ann and Samuel; sisters, Helen (Robert) Ward and Cynthia Makinen; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and special furry friend, Dodger. She was preceded in death by both parents; husband, William; siblings, Patricia (Phil) Varnick and Michael (Mary) George; and brother-in-law, Terry Makinen.

A visitation will be held Monday, April 28, 2025 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 198 Macy Street, Fond du Lac, WI with funeral service to follow. Burial will be in Rienzi Cemetery.
