Doris M. Fies

Doris M. Fies, age 98 formerly of 187 Ledgeview Avenue, died Friday, May 22, 2009 at the Hospice Home of Hope. She was born in Baraboo, WI on February 1, 1911 the daughter of the late Albert and Iva Goodnow Ziegler. On September 10,1938 Doris married Karl Fies at St. John's Catholic Church, Baraboo. Karl preceded her in death in January 1994. They had resided in Montello Wisconsin until 1954 when they moved to Fond du Lac. She was a member of Holy Family Parish-St. Mary's Church. Doris loved flowers and gardening.SURVIVORS: She is survived by one daughter, Mary (Bob) Haase, Eldorado, two grandchildren, James (Stacy) Haase of Fond du Lac and Cheryl (Alex) Bing of Detroit, Michigan, one great-grandchild Bevyn Haase and four step-grandchildren Alex, Poe, Xavier and Landis Bing.She was preceded in death by her husband, a sister Jesse Alwin, and a brother Sylvan Ziegler.



VISITATION: Friends may call on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Avenue, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. FUNERAL: A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, May 27, 2009 10:30 A.M. at Holy Family Parish-St. Mary's Church. Reverend Victor Capriolo will officiate. Burial will take place at 3:30 P.M. Wednesday at St. John The Baptist Parish Cemetery, Montello.
