Doris M. Treffert

Doris M. Treffert, 94, of Andover, Minn., and a former longtime resident of North Fond du Lac, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 21, 2023. She was born in Rhinelander, Wis., on May 18, 1929, to Vernie and Marie Olsen. Doris married Gordon Treffert on June 10, 1950.

Doris was an avid reader and also enjoyed camping with family and friends, playing cards and knitting. She also loved Teddy Bears, had a great sense of humor and liked dancing to a wide variety of music. Doris was the wind beneath the wings of Gordy and her children. She endured and welcomed the multiple pets that her children brought home. Doris always said her prayers and blessings and she will be missed and loved forever.

Survivors include her children, Daniel (Jackie) Treffert, Brian Treffert, and Mary Beth Kensek; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert (Socorro) Olsen; sister, Nan Gray; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gordon; sons, Bruce and Steve; brother and sister-in-law, Vern & Gertie; brother-in-law, Carl Gray; and son-in-law, Lon.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Fond du Lac Humane Society are appreciated.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Interment in Estabrook Cemetery in Fond du Lac will follow the visitation. The family invites you to join them following the burial for a Celebration of Life from 12:30 PM – 4:00 PM at Sunset on the Water, N7364 Winnebago Drive in Fond du Lac. Cremation has taken place.
