Dorothy B. Moore, 79, of W4859 Reinhardt Road, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 24th, surrounded by her loving family at Villa Loretto Nursing Home in Mt. Calvary. She was born March 30, 1928, in Chicago, the daughter of Henry and Anna Catherine Fink Bickelhaupt. On June 22, 1957, she married Donald I. "Mike" Moore at St. Mary's Church in Fond du Lac. She was a member of Holy Family Parish. She was formerly employed by the Wisconsin Telephone Company and was a member of the Fond du Lac Pioneers. She later received her Licensed Practical Nurse degree from Moraine Park Technical College and was formerly employed by St. Agnes Hospital, Grancare Nursing Center, and also did Private Duty nursing. She was a member of the Toastmasters, Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, Eagles Aerie #270 Auxiliary where she played dart ball. She was an avid lover of bowling. Dorothy enjoyed music and developed a talent for painting at the Fond du Lac Senior Center. She and her husband were former members of the Fond du Lac Snowblazers snowmobile club. She will be remembered for her warm loving heart and her sense of humor. She and her husband celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in June of 2007.Surviving is her husband, Donald, "Mike", two daughters, Kelly (John) Anheuser and Kathi Moore, both of Fond du Lac, two sons, Mike (Teresa) Moore of Renton, WA, and John (Linda) Moore of Loveland, CO, three grandchildren, Stephanie Anheuser, and John Michael and Kyle Moore, a sister, Linda Beyer and a brother, John (Ethel) Bickelhaupt, both of Fond du Lac. She is further survived by three sisters-in-law, Betty Moore of Menomonee Falls, WI, June Fincke, and Gloria (Nick) Romalia both of Fond du Lac, one brother-in-law, Colie (Gerry) Moore of St. Peter, nieces, including "honorary granddaughters, Adelia and Marjorie Anheuser, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Further surviving is her beloved Golden Retriever, Buffy. Her parents, six brothers, Phil, Gottllieb, Charles, Fred, Edward, and Robert Bickelhaupt, and a sister, Katherine Schafer and an infant sister, Sophia Marie Bickelhaupt preceded her in death.



Visitation for Mrs. Dorothy Moore will be on Thursday, February 28, 2008, from 4 to 8 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and on Friday, February 29, 2008, from 9:30 to 10:30 am at Holy Family Parish, 271 4th Street Way. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am on Friday at the church. Entombment will be in Chapel of The Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.
