Dorothy E. Miller, 87, formerly of 419 Ann Street, died Sunday, April 23, 2006, at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home where she had been a resident for the past two years. She was born May 23, 1918, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Adolph T. and Alma Busse Kobs. On March 1, 1941, she married Harry D. Miller at Dubuque, IA. A lifelong resident of Fond du Lac, Dorothy was a member of Church of Our Savior, Evangelical Lutheran. She sang in the Sweet Adeline's, was a former PTA President of Jefferson School, a Girl Scout Leader, and was a volunteer at St. Agnes Hospital. Dorothy enjoyed sewing, singing, and flower gardening, bowling, traveling throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico, and spending time with her family at her cottage in Adams County at Roch-a-Cri Lake.Surviving is her husband of 65 years, Harry, two daughters, Barbara (John) Rickert of Casper, WY, and Amy Kunde of Fond du Lac, four grandchildren, John Rickert of Denver, CO, Peter Rickert of Casper, WY, Eric (Kathleen) Fuller of Madison, WI, and Joey Kunde of Fond du Lac, and six great-grandchildren, Alex, Andy, Danielle, Nathan, Pieper, and Avry. She is further survived by two brothers, Eugene Kobs of Madison, WI, and Theodore (Ellen) Kobs of Adams, WI, and one sister, Deloris Squire of Muskego, WI. Her parents, a son, Richard, two brothers, Charles "Jule" and Roger Kobs, and two sisters, Elaine Kulmatysky and Betty Chapman, preceded her in death.



Visitation for Mrs. Dorothy E. Miller will be on Thursday, April 27, 2006, from 11:30 am to 1pm at Church of Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran. Memorial services will be at 1 pm at the church on Thursday. The Rev. Duane C. Wisner will officiate. Cremation has taken place. Private family inurnment services will be held on Friday morning at Estabrooks Cemetery. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family. A memorial has been established in Mrs. Miller's name.
