"A precious heart stopped beating"¦"Dorothy G. Keller, 81, of 610 Illinois Ave. North Fond du Lac, WI, passed away Tuesday May 19, 2009 at St. Agnes Hospital. A searching soul ascended to heaven to join her beloved husband Clarence "Chris" C. Keller, who passed before her on July 18, 2004. "She felt his yearning pull"¦" She was born January 21, 1928 in Fond du Lac, WI the daughter of George and Gertrude Bohlman Klein. She graduated from Fond du Lac Senior High School, and was employed at various businesses including O'Connor Oil Company, C.D. Smith Construction, Capelle's Anchor Inn. She also helped manage her daughter's downtown boutique "Queen's Wear." On October 3, 1953 she married Clarence "Chris" Keller at the Church of Peace where she was a member. Their Golden Anniversary was a memorable milestone in her life. She had a heart of gold who loved organizing family events, could "cook up a storm", loved to garden and show off her "green thumb", enjoyed bingo with her "bingo buddies", playing cards with family and friends, but above all this she was a loving wife, a proud mother who taught by example, and a grandmother, whose love had no boundaries. She loved taking care of her granddaughters; they were the "light in her life".She is survived by a daughter, Deborah, a son Jeffrey (Jean) Keller, her granddaughters "dollies", Ashlee and Amanda, all of North Fond du Lac. She is also survived by her sisters Elizabeth (Glenn) Redman, Mary (Richard) Johnson of Fond du Lac, Judith (Lloyd "Duke") Hawes of Muskego, brothers Gene (Joanne) of Van Dyne, Lawrence (Donna) Klein, Ronald (Betty) Klein of Fond du Lac, special friend and sister in law Barbara Keller of Rosendale. She is further survived by her late husbands siblings and spouses, many cherished nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, and sister in law Patricia Klein.
Visitation for Mrs. Dorothy G. Keller will be on Friday May 22, 2009 from 9 to 11am at Church of Peace United Church of Christ 158 S. Military Rd. Fond du Lac, WI. Funeral Services will be on Friday May 22, 2009 at 11am at the church. Cremation has taken place. The Reverends Jennifer Dawson and James F. D. Martin will officiate and inurnment of cremated remains will be in All Faiths Mausoleum at Rienzi Cemetery. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
