Dorothy G. Mesner, 87, formerly of Fond du Lac, died Friday, September 1, 2006, at Independence Village in Naperville, IL. She was born June 19, 1919, in Waupun, WI, the daughter of William and Maggie Williamson Duitman. On May 3, 1941, whe married Franklin Mesner of Fond du Lac in Waupun. He preceded her in death on January 6, 2002. She was formerly employed by Sentry North Food Store until her retirement. Dorothy was a member of Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was an avid Packer fan and bowler. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren's sports activities.Surviving is a son, Franklin (Judy) Mesner of Greendale, WI, two daughters, Patricia (Thomas) Furnner of Pontiac, MI, and Debby (Daniel) Adams of Naperville, IL, ten grandchildren, Terry, Pamela, Michelle, Matt, Scott, Dorothy, Troy, Neil, Melinda, and Kyle. 14 great-grandchildren further survive her. Her parents, husband, a brother, Jerry Duitman, and a sister, Angeline Schalma preceded her in death.
Visitation for Mrs. Dorothy G. Mesner will be on Friday, September 8, 2006, from 4 to 7 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, and on Saturday, September 9, 2006, from 10 to 11 am at Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church. Funeral Services will be on Saturday at 11 am at the church. The Rev. Stuart Zak will officiate and burial will be in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.
