On May 18, 2010, Dorothy Lemery's two year fight with cancer ended peacefully at her home with her loving children by her side. Dorothy was born April 21, 1936 in Green Bay, the daughter of Bernard and Enanda Wohlfeil Lison. On August 22, 1959 she married Alan R. Lemery at Trinity Lutheran Church, Green Bay and he preceded her in death on December 8, 2006. Dorothy's courage and strength inspired us all during her illness. Dorothy's laughter and humor was always present. She treasured her time with family, especially her four grandchildren and her many friends. Dorothy was an avid sports fan, who loved watching the Packers, Badgers and Marquette basketball. In retirement, the Lemery's loved to travel especially with their dear friends and neighbors of over 40 years, Lee and Alida Sivil.SURVIVORS: four children, Tom (Sherri Rudkin) Lemery, Janesville, Betsy (Steve) Hedberg, Neenah, David Lemery, Ripon, Carrie Lemery, Fond du Lac; four grandchildren, Sarah, Emily, Vincent, and Michael; her mother, Enanda "Tuts" Lison, Green Bay; two sisters, Pat (John) Hinnendale, Milwaukee, Carolyn Mellen, Green Bay. She is further survived by one sister-in-law, Becky (Paul) Covi, Green Bay; three brothers-in-law, Dale (Bettie) Lemery, Arkansas, Gary (Mary) Lemery, Suring, Bruce (Liz) Lemery, Green Bay; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father; her husband; her father and mother-in-law, Ray and Ila Lemery.
VISITATION: will be from 10 AM "“ 1 PM Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Cathedral of St. Paul, 51 W. Divisions Street, Fond du Lac. The memorial service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, May 22 2010 at Cathedral of St. Paul with The Very Reverend Brian Beno officiating and Deacon Michael Hackbarth assisting. Cremation has taken place and inurnment will be held at a later date in Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated in Dorothy's name to Central Wisconsin Cancer Center or Agnesian Hospice Home of Hope.The family extends a thank you to Dr. Wang and Dr. Lambert and the staff at the Cancer Center, the staff of Agnesian Hospice, especially Gloria, Robyn and Debbie, and to family and friends for all of their love and support, especially Lee and Alida Sivil.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
