Dorothy L. Burke

Dorothy Lucille (Aschenbrenner) Burke, left this earth to be with her loving husband, Earl on August 22, 2018 at the age of 94 at Woodlands Senior Park in Fond du Lac.



Dorothy was born in Fond du Lac, on February 21, 1924, the daughter of George and Lydia (Ruch) Aschenbrenner. She married Earl Joseph Burke on May 31, 1942 in Dubuque, Iowa. Dorothy lived her entire life in Fond du Lac. She worked for many years at St. Agnes Hospital and retired from there to work part time caring for others in their homes. She enjoyed bingo, watching games shows, playing games with her family, and had a passion for jelly beans.



Dorothy is survived by her children, Karen (Jerry Gibson) Burke, Dave (Pam Bartoli) Burke, and Kris (Dan) Veith; grandchildren, Nicole Veith, Seth Veith, Cassandra Burke, and Michel Burke; sisters, Pat Fischer and Carol (Jerry) Pierce; brother, Roger (Helen) Aschenbrenner; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brother, Harvey Aschenbrenner; sister-in-law, Emma Aschenbrenner; brother-in-law, Donald Fischer; and godson, Harvey Aschenbrenner, Jr.



She will be dearly missed by her family.



The visitation will be held Monday, August 27, 2018 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday, August 27, 2018 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Burial will take place in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.



In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Agnesian Hospice Home of Hope in Dorothy’s name.



The family extends a special thank you to the care givers and management at Woodlands Senior Park and all the wonderful people from Agnesian Hospice. All their loving care and assistance is immensely appreciated and will never be forgotten.
