Dorothy M. Huskey

Dorothy M. Huskey, 89, of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. She was born November 25, 1931 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Henry and Pearl Schierland. On August 7, 1954, she married James Huskey at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Fond du Lac, where she was a member for 47 years. Dorothy worked for Galloway West for 31 years, retiring in 1993. She loved to garden, travel, read, being an enthusiastic spectator for her grandchildren’s sports and school activities and meeting people while working at Walmart for over 15 years.



She is survived by three children, Kathryn (Michael) Maccaux, Daniel Huskey, and Cheree (Reggie) Bortner; seven grandchildren, Jim (Katie) Huskey and their children, Jason and Ryan, Amy Cutsforth and her son, Collin, Danny (Alicia) Huskey and their children, Nissa and Storm, Paul (Meghan) Huskey, Corey (Lindsey) Bortner and their children, Lily and baby Bortner on the way, Ryan Bortner, and Melissa Bortner; sisters-in-law, Sandra Schierland and Dorothy Schierland; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; son, Robert Huskey; two brothers, Art Schierland and James Schierland; and sister, Margaret Goding.



A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Calvary Cemetery.
