Dorothy M. Mehler

Dorothy M. Mehler, age 78, of 630 W. Arndt St, Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at Hospice Home of Hope. She was born on August 12, 1926 in Nasbro the daughter of Rudolph and Ottillie Blum Ebelt. She later moved to Brownsville. She was a 1944 graduate of Lomira High School. In 1963 she married William J. Mehler in Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death on June 4, 1972. Dorothy was a waitress at Petrie's Restaurant from 1948-1962. She worked for Wells Manufacturing for ten years. She then attended MPTC and received an Associate's Degree and then worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant until retiring in 1989. Dorothy was a former member of Church of Peace. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, reading, playing cards, canasta, and ice skating.SURIVORS: two daughters, Carol Sohn of Fond du Lac, Susan (Jerry) Fadness of Plover, one son, David (Susan) Schuppe of Fond du Lac, seven grandchildren, one step-granddaughter, seven great-grandchildren, one sister, Mildred Ziebell of North Fond du Lac. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William J. Mehler, one infant brother, and one sister



Private family services have been held. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment will take place at Estabrooks Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Hospice Home of Hope. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
