DuWayne H. Jensen, Sr., 82 of Brandon, died Monday, October 8, 2018 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born June 25, 1936 in Fond du Lac, the son of DuWayne and Lillian Kietzman Jensen. DuWayne served in the U.S. Navy from January 1955 – January 1963. On January 26, 1959 he married Ruth A. LeBlanc in Peabody, MA and she preceded him in death on June 7, 2016. DuWayne worked for Damrow Company until his retirement. His yard was important to him and he enjoyed tinkering on his lawnmower and engines, and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by four children, Elizabeth (Dennis) Wegner of Fond du Lac, Judith Hannah of Red Granite, Alicia (Ralph) Slabosheski of Princeton, and DuWayne, Jr. (Melissa) Jensen of Ripon; eleven grandchildren, Joshua Wegner, Jason (Amanda Harlan) Wegner, Samantha (Jamie) Keller, David Hannah, Kimberly (Joe Curtis) Hannah, Tanya (David Pierce) Hannah, Andrew (Sara) Slabosheski, Charles Slabosheski, Jared (Emily) Slabosheski, Kristen (Jeff) Carlson, and Mia Timmons; six great grandchildren, Hannah Nault, Lillian Brewington, Cheyenne and Austyn Hannah, Bryson Immel, and Rowan Pierce. He is further survived by his brother, Dennis Jensen of Princeton; sister-in-law, Carol (Gordon) Schattuck of MA; four brothers-in-law, Charles LeBlanc of MA, James LeBlanc of MA, John (Denise) LeBlanc of NH, and Richard (Kris Neary) LeBlanc of NH; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruth; his mother-in-law, Alice LeBlanc; three sisters-in-law, Kathy, Roberta and Jean Marie; and two grandchildren.
The visitation will be held from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park. The memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, October 12, 2018 at the mausoleum. Cremation has taken place and inurnment will follow the services.
The family extends a special thank you to St. Agnes Hospital Emergency Department and 5th Floor nurses for the outstanding care and compassion given to DuWayne and his family.
