Duwayne J. Balthazor, Jr.

DuWayne J. Balthazor, Jr., 56, of Fond du Lac, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016 at St. Agnes Hospital after an ongoing battle with dementia. He was born August 15, 1959 in Fond du Lac, the son of DuWayne and Mary Parris Balthazor, Sr. He graduated high school in 1977 from Goodrich High School and was named High School All American. DuWayne was an outstanding athlete beginning with little league years continuing through high school. He then went on to Stevens Point University where he was scouted by several professional teams as a catcher. DuWayne worked for Canadian National Railroad until 2014. He was an outstanding athlete in the Fond du Lac Softball League where he played on many local teams where he was known as the long ball hitter. His passion for sports continued while coaching his son’s sports teams. He also loved golf, fishing, and bowling where he was proud of several 300 games and an 800 series. He was very proud of the four generations of DuWaynes.



He is survived by his two sons, DuWayne III (Angie) Balthazor of Oakfield and David (Merrisa) Balthazor of Fond du Lac; his grandchildren, DuWayne IV, Austin, Amara, Caiden, and MacKenzie; his parents, DuWayne and Mary Balthazor, Sr.; his siblings, Robin (Jerry) Lake of Merritt Island, FL, Roxanne (Thomas) Wendt of Fond du Lac, and James (Susan) Balthazor of Peotone, IL; many God children, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Ermerline Balthazor and Harvey and Beatrice Parris.



The visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the traditional services.
