Dwayne D. "Dewey" Rymer, 75, formerly of N11273 Newton Lake Road, Athelstane, WI, died Friday, September 11, 2009, at the Hospice Home of Hope. He was born March 27, 1934, in Fond du Lac, the son of Donald S. and Viola A. Kellar Rymer. Dwayne was a life long resident of Fond du Lac until moving to Athelstane, WI. The Soo Line and Wisconsin Central Railroads employed him as a welder. Prior to this, he worked for Kiekhaefer Mercury Marine and Capelle Brothers and Diedrich Contractors. Mr. Rymer was a veteran of the US Navy, serving from 1951 to 1955. He was a hunter, enjoyed gardening and watching his birds. He was a member of Eagles Aerie #270. Surviving are two daughters, Renee (Michael) Toth of Brownsville, and Rochelle (Fiancé' Marty Jacobs) Rymer of Fond du Lac, a son, Mark Rymer of Van Dyne, four granddaughters, Courtney (Fiancé' David Baynes) and Andrea Toth, McKenna Draves, and Madisen Rymer, a sister, Myrtle Roloff of Fond du Lac, a half brother, Charles Carpenter of North Fond du Lac, a sister-in-law, Dolores Rymer of Green Bay, and nieces and nephews. His parents, a brother, Richard, and a sister, Arlene Rocha preceded him in death.



Visitation for Dwayne D. "Dewey" Rymer will be on Wednesday, September 16, 2009, from 10 am to 12 noon at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at noon at the funeral home. The Rev. Gerald Schrankler will officiate. Cremation has taken place. Members of Trier-Puddy American Legion Post #75 Firing Squad will conduct military funeral rites.
