Earl H. Scholl, 91 of Fond du Lac, died Saturday, January 3, 2015 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born October 17, 1923 in North Fond du Lac, the son of Henry and Frieda (Grabow) Scholl.
Earl served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1945-1946. He graduated from UW-Madison with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 1949. He was employed by John Deere from 1949-1953. From 1953 until his retirement in 1978, Earl was employed by General Motors. In 1983, Earl returned to Fond du Lac. While living in Milwaukee, Earl was an active volunteer with the Franklin Street Boys Club, assisting at risk youth.
He is survived by his daughter Diane (Richard) McAfee of Denver, CO and his son Carl (Julie) Scholl of Miami, FL; three grandchildren: Sarah (Brian James) McAfee of Denver, CO, David Scholl of Miami, FL and Amy Scholl also of Miami, FL. He is further survived by one great-grandchild; Thomas A. James of Denver, CO. Earl was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Joan Scholl.
A visitation for Earl will be held from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave. in Fond du Lac. Private entombment will take place at a later date in Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery in Fond du Lac.
