Edith J. Gerrits, 82, of Fond du Lac, died Friday, August 30, 2013 at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born October 27, 1930 in Sheboygan, the daughter of Paul and Cora Goldapske Voigt. On September 30, 1950 she married Donald J. Gerrits at Holy Name Catholic Church in Sheboygan. Edith worked in Sheboygan at H.C. Prange Co. until her marriage. She was a former member of St. Patrick's Church Ladies Aide, Telephone Pioneers and Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. Edith enjoyed traveling, gardening, watching birds, quilting, sewing, was a great cook, and most of all she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.She is survived by her husband, Don; four children, Sandra Kolstad, Fond du Lac, Paul (Karen) Gerrits, Fond du Lac, Donna (David) McCauley, Mayville, Robert (Kelly) Gerrits, Belgium; ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren; one aunt, Laura Kammerzelt, Sheboygan; one sister-in-law, Evelyn Keller, Little Chute; and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; step father, Louis Lupinski; father and mother-in-law, Ted and Nell Gerrits; one granddaughter, Sara Gerrits; four sisters-in-law, Ethel (Don) Dupler, Hilda (Clarence) Veit, Betty (Alan) Slater, Bernice (Elmer) Leonard.



The visitation will be held from 9:00 "“ 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at Sacred Heart Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11: 00 AM on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at Sacred Heart Church, 678 Western Avenue, Fond du Lac. Burial will take place in Lutheran Cemetery, Sheboygan.
