Edna M. Hochrein

Edna M. Hochrein, 89, died at St. Francis Home on February 28, 2011, where she had been a resident since the third of February, 2011. She was born February 2, 1922, in Mt. Calvary, the daughter of Joseph and Rosa Kraus Schneider. On October 22, 1949, she married Cletus L. Hochrein at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mt. Calvary. He preceded her in death on June 2, 1982. Edna was a member of Holy Family parish. Surviving is a daughter, Diane Hochrein, of Wauwatosa, a son, Dan Hochrein of Fond du Lac, a grandson, Alex Hochrein of Fond du Lac, and a granddaughter, Nicole Pauly, also of Fond du Lac. She is further survived by three sisters, Mildred (Orville) Haensgen of Johnsburg, Erna Halbach of Calvary Station, Lorraine (Alex) Ebertz of Fond du Lac, two brothers, Ralph (Marion) Schneider of Fond du Lac, and Ottie (Rose) Schneider of Fond du Lac, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Her parents, husband, five brothers, twins, Clarence and Edwin, Harvey, Claude, and Walter Schneider preceded her.



Visitation for Mrs. Edna M. Hochrein will be on Wednesday, March 2, 2011, from 4 to 7 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again from 9 to 10 AM on Thursday, March 3rd. Family prayers will be at 10 AM at the funeral home followed by a 10:30 Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Church, 93 Marquette Street, Fond du Lac. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
