Edna M. Boris, 89, formerly of 583 Kingswood Court, currently a resident of the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home died Monday, March 31, 2008. She was born January 30, 1919 the daughter of Albert and Emma Werner Naffin in the Town of Black Wolf, Oshkosh, Wisconsin. On July 17, 1952 she married Paul J. Boris in Torento, OH. Paul preceded her in death on August 14, 1967. They lived in Milwaukee were she worked for General Motors with 30 years of service; there she worked on the spaceship "The Apollo". After she retired she lived with her brother, Lester Naffin at the family homestead. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church, Oshkosh and a member of the women of the church. Edna was gifted in crafts and did many things for the church bazaars and belonged to the neighborhood center. She and Lester loved to travel and did some extensive travel to find their family heritage, including Russia, which was under the Iron Curtain at that time. She was an excellent cook and baker and enjoyed sharing Christmas cookies with friends and family. Edna made a personal commitment to the Lord in 2006. SURVIVORS: two sisters, Myrtle (Hilbert) Schumacher, Oshkosh, Carol (Donald) Nason, Oshkosh; two nieces, Claire Lotto, North Fond du Lac, Paula Bergner, Green Bay; five nephews, Steven Schumacher, Maui, HI, Jack Schumacher, Oshkosh, Robin Mason, Oshkosh, Jeff Mason, Oshkosh, Warren Kemp; great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents, husband, two sisters, Ruth (Edward) Kemp, Erma Naffin, one brother, Lester Naffin.
VISITATION: will be from 4 "“ 6 PM on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 6 PM on Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Dean Desilet. Cremation will follow the traditional service and inurnment will be in Wilhelmine Cemetery, Town of Black Wolf. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
