Edward A. Sass, 87, of Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac. He was born the son of Arthur and Irene Rozek Sass on June 10, 1920 in Everett, WA. On September 7, 1946 he married Ida May Vieillard at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Milwaukee. Edward served with the 239th Air Force Base Unit from June 1942 to October 1945. He worked for Miller Brewing Company for several years as a distributor. He later drove truck for various over-the-road firms. He was a member of the FDL Eagle's Aerie #270. He enjoyed his computer, gardening, and doing handy work. Edward loved nature and the outdoors along his lake property.SURVIVORS: his wife, Ida; one daughter, Sharon (Robert) Chipman, Jackson, WI; two sons, Edward J. (Virginia) Sass, Robinsdale, MN and Joe (Julie) Sass, Rochester, MN; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Gerald.
