Edward C. Budjac

Edward C. Budjac, 89, of 282 Breister Avenue, died Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at St. Agnes Hospital surrounded by his loved ones. He was born March 6, 1920, in Milwaukee, the son of Andrew and Katherine Gajdos Budjac. On November 7, 1942, he married Nancy A. Knicklebein in Milwaukee. Ed was a veteran of WW II serving with the US Army as a medic in the African and European Theatres for five years. He and Nan moved to Plymouth, where he learned the tool and die trade. Moving to Fond du Lac, he worked as a tool and die maker at Wells Manufacturing for 31 years until his retirement in 1985. He played baseball, enjoyed hunting and was an avid golfer and bowler. In his later years he enjoyed trips to the casinos, and visits from family and friends. The neighborhood children were precious to him. Ed was a member of the American Legion and the Elks Lodge #57. Surviving is his dear wife, Nancy, four children, Cheryn (Robert "Fish") Fishelson of Fond du Lac, John Budjac of Itacsa, IL, Kathi Sabel of Steamboat Springs, Co, and Bob (Sue) Budjac of Wisconsin Rapids, all who will miss his blue eyes and his great sense of humor. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, a brother, Robert Budjac of Milwaukee, and two sisters, Mildred Dudek of Fresno, CA, and Betty (Russ) Bordeaux of Milwaukee. His parents a daughter, Donna Mayer, and seven siblings preceded him in death.



Visitation for Mr. Edward C. Budjac will be on Friday, June 26, 2009, from 12 noon to 2 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 pm at the funeral home. The Rev. Robert Rosenberg will officiate and burial will be in Rienzi Cemetery.
