Edward D. Koenig, age 57, of 601 N. Main St, Fall River, WI, died Sunday, September 16, 2007 at Continental Manor in Randolph. He was born on January 24, 1950 in Fond du Lac the son of Joseph and Helen (Mertens) Koenig. He was a 1968 graduate of Goodrich High School. He served in the United States Army. On February 5, 1997 he married Debra Schultz in Portage. Edward worked in maintenance at the State Capitol for fourteen years until the time of his illness. He also worked as a part time cook for many years in the Fond du Lac area. He enjoyed bingo and bowling and especially socializing with his friends and family.SURVIVORS: his wife Debbie of Fall River, his children, Sonja (Tony) Gebhardt of IL, Chad Koenig of MD, Heather (Brian) Frank of Fall River, Calvin (Nicole) Schultz of PA, his former wife, Barbara Williamson, nine grandchildren, brothers and sisters, Jerry (Tina) Koenig, Mary (Fred) Moyer, Joseph (Sandy) Koenig, Richard (Mary) Koenig, Darlene (Robert) Zimmerman, and Cindy Berg, and he is further survived by brothers in law and sisters in law, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Rosemary Bump, and one brother in law, Roger Berg.



VISITATION: Thursday, September 20, 2007 from 3-7 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Thursday, September 20, 2007 at 7:00 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Deacon Larry Hughes officiating. Cremation will follow the traditional services. Trier-Puddy American Legion Post #75 will conduct military honors at the funeral home.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
