EDWARD H. HOFFMANEdward H. Hoffman, age 88, of 271 3rd St, Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born on January 11, 1917 at Youngstown, OH the son of Henry and Ada Cazad Hoffman. In December of 1937 he married Edith Wills in Ohio. She preceded him in death on June 25, 1991. On May 22, 1992 he married Jean G. (Porter) Karst in Fond du Lac. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army in North Africa and Italy. Edward worked for Garrett Company in Torrence, CA for thirty-five years. He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans. He enjoyed working on cars, watching wrestling, and collecting model cars. SURVIVORS: his wife, Jean Hoffman of Fond du Lac, one son, Charles "Chuck" (Vicky) Hoffman of Tustin, CA, one daughter, Nancy (William) Kaiser of Fond du Lac, four grandchildren, Beverly, Shereen, Lindsey, and Dana Pojman, five great-grandchildren, Ryan, Zachary, Jaylen, Jordan, and Kassie, seven step-children, Daniel (Sue) Karst of Ripon, Donald Karst of Fond du Lac, Roger Karst of Fond du Lac, Joseph Karst of Milwaukee, Millie Atchison of Fond du Lac, Richard Karst of Fond du Lac, Cathy Karst of Sheboygan, and one brother, Harold (Millie) Hoffman of Hubbard, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, two sisters, and two brothers.
VISITATION: Friday, August 26, 2005 from 11:30 A.M. until 2:30 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Friday, August 26, 2005 at 2:30 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with the Reverend Sharon Stier officiating. Burial will follow at Estabrooks Cemetery. Trier-Puddy American Legion Post #75 will conduct military graveside services. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
