Edward T. "Teenie" Uecker

Edward T. "Teenie" Uecker, 80, of 546 Wilcox Street, Waupun, died Saturday, December 29, 2007, at Waupun Memorial Hospital. He was born December 29, 1927, in the Town of Alto, the son of Fred and Gladys Czoschke Uecker. On July 14, 1945, he married Shirley Wagner at the Fairwater Lutheran Church. Edward was a graduate of Brandon High School and attended the Fond du Lac Technical College. He was a veteran of WW II serving in the US Army as an MP guarding German prisoners at Camp Green Lake. Mr. Uecker was a 50-year member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local 400. He was employed as a Master Plumber by several companies in the Fond du Lac and Waupun areas, and retired from J.F. Ahern Company in 1988. He was a member of Pella Lutheran Church in Waupun where he served as an Elder and on the Finance Committee, and also served on the City of Waupun Recreation Department and was active in the construction of Waupun's first hockey rink. He was a former member of the Rock River Country Club. Ed enjoyed working with youth, teaching them how to hunt and fish, playing cards, and golfing. He enjoyed trips to northern Wisconsin to hunt with his grandchildren, of whom he was very proud. He also cherished a nightly game of Yahtze with his soul mate of 62 years. Surviving is his wife, Shirley, two sons, Bruce E. Uecker of Dallas, TX, and Larry (Susan) Uecker of Plano, TX; nine grandsons, Todd (Lisa) Priebe of Sheboygan and their children, Bonita and Tessa, Scott (Debra) Priebe of Hobart, WI and their children Abigail and Evan, Jonathan (Barbara) Uecker of Oshkosh and their children Peter and Logan, Michael (Carrie) Priebe of Anchorage, AK and their children Toni and Zachary, James (Joan) Priebe of Cascade, WI, Ryan (Melissa Hunt) Lisko of Wyle, TX and their children Meghan and Libby, Brian (Friend Carrie) Uecker of Texarkana, TX, and Joshua (Elizabeth) Uecker and Christopher Uecker, both of Plano, TX. He is further survived by a sister, Hazel Schmuhl of Fond du Lac. His parents, a son, David Uecker, a daughter, Bonita Ann Priebe, and two brothers, Alan and Marvin Uecker, preceded him in death.



Visitation for Mr. Edward T. "Teenie" Uecker will be on Thursday, January 3, 2008, from 10 am to 1 pm at Pella Evangelical Lutheran Church, 315 S. Madison Street, Waupun. Memorial services will be at 1 pm on Thursday at the church. Cremation has taken place. The Rev. Kenneth Loehrke will officiate and private family inurnment services will follow. The family requests that memorials be directed to Pella Evangelical Lutheran Church. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
